The snow was awesome
and Dave stops to enjoy
the beautiful view.
The trail was setting up
nicely where the ground
wasn't as rough and had
adequate snow cover.

ARROWHEAD MOUNTAIN SNOWMOBILE CLUB
About us/What's going on
Volunteers needed....please join!
Our club is totally non-profit.  All officers and
volunteers are donating their valuable time and
expertise to ensure the enjoyment of our sport for all
who use the trails. Without their hard work and
dedication there would not be a trail system.
V. A. S. T.
This local group is one of many in the state who
make up the
Vermont  Association of Snow
Travelers! Together we have about 5000 miles of
trail. About 80% of our trails are on private lands.
Every year we depend on the extreme generosity of
our landowners to grant us permission to use
their land. Without them our sleds are worthless!
A.M.S.C.
Arrowhead Mountain Snowmobile Club is the local
club based in Milton, VT. We are responsible for
keeping landowner permissions current on Corridor
trails 7 and 15 from Chimney corners to CN21 in
Essex Center. We also maintain the trails and
bridges. We are contracted by V.A.S.T. to groom 23
miles of trails out and back twice a week.

WHATS HAPPENING NOW?
Please be couteous on the
trails and lend a helping
hand to fellow snowmobilers
whenever possible.
Stopping to pick up debris
on the trails is also a big
help. If everone does a little
it adds up to a lot. Be sure
to wave to the groomers.

evenings w/out pay just to
try and make the ride

TUESDAY
01/18/07

Greg took the groomer through town and unlocked all the local gates. Be
careful if attempting to ride as there is lots of standing water and any ice
is unsafe. The groomer had a problem with the steering and will be fixed
before next week in hopes of more cold weather and snow.
01/23/07

The groomer was repaired and running after a long trip to Newport for
parts. In town trails were groomed but early this morning the groomer had
another issue at the base of a hill on Rt 7 between Milton and Colchester.
Please use caution when traveling this route.
01/25/07

Trails are open and the groomer is back home. Please use caution when
crossing ice as it may be very unsafe this year due to unstable weather
conditions.
01/28/07

Went out for an evening ride and the cold weather has done us very well.
The standing water is now safe to cross and the trail is frozen and packed
nicely. All we need is a little more snow.
12-01-07
This weekend the club members have been hard at work signing trails
and getting ready for them to open. Brushing of many trails and bridge
repairs have been done earlier this year. Now we are working on a
major reroute around Devino Rd. in Milton to appease a couple
homeowners on that road.
12-09-07
This weekend was spent working on the reroute. Without the
generosity of Ron Bevins Excavaiting in Milton and the expertise of his
son Brian w/the heavy equipment this trail would not be possible this
year.
